Special Celebration of Desert Tortoise Preserve Committee’s 50th Anniversary
April 6, 2024 at DTRNA
We are excited to invite all members and supporters to a full morning of special activities at the Desert Tortoise Research Natural Area (DTRNA) on April 6, 2024 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Desert Tortoise Preserve Committee (DTPC). Your choices of activities will include:
- Macro photography workshop by internationally renowned nature photographer Tom Astle (talk from 8:00 a.m. to about 9:00 a.m., followed by optional Q&A and trail time until 11:30 a.m.)
- Volunteer work party (9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)
- Naturalist-led tours of the DTRNA nature trails (available starting at 9:00 a.m.)
- Driving tour to northeast DTRNA (view of Koehn Dry Lake) (time TBD based on RSVP’s)
- Complimentary picnic lunch (11:30 a.m.)
